Funny, a new species of bird was discovered in Costa Rica last month and I’m writing about it today. The fern-crested kingfisher is a bird that scientists are saying is monogamous. Mates for life!
Coincidentally, I just ended it with this guy today. I found out he was married. I should've learned my lesson by now. But this one, I don't know. I thought there was something. Mainly because I believed him when he said he was basically separated, just living with his wife still for the sake of the kids. Thing is, I just found out he has NO kids and there's no reason he's still with his wife except that he WANTS to be.
I thought the bird was cute. If you looked at a picture of this new fern-crested kingfisher, you’d think it was beautiful with a large blue and teal crest on its head. You’d never stop to think that it raids other bird’s nests for their young, in order to feed its own. Kinda sociopathic, no? I’ll try to get a picture of it to put up here. But I’m not sure that’s allowed on blogs.
I’m beginning to think I appeal to married men for whatever reason. Just last week in line at the creamery, the mother took her son to the bathroom to change his diaper. While she was in there, the husband begins to hit on me with questions like: what’s your favorite flavor? I mean come on! Why not just ask me my sign and hold up motel room keys. Instances like that are not flattering. I felt bad for the mother.
