I've decided to get up early and go to bikram yoga. The hot, sweaty yoga. It's torture getting up but part of being half-asleep when you go into that sauna of a torture chamber is actually better than being wide-eyed and realizing what you've stepped into. But I need to do it. It's doing wonders for my back. I'm only thirty… well, thirty-one. But I already get weird back pain from sitting at my computer all day and the yoga’s therapeutic—even on the inside.

The back pain comes in waves but when it hits, it hits like a truck. I've been told by a doctor that it's stress. I told him I wasn't stressed, except a little overworked. But he told me, hypothetically speaking, that maybe some things from the past could still be bothering me. Weird that he proposed that.
