You know, it's funny, but I have only recently come to realize how important it is to know about the plants and flowers that are becoming extinct. Everybody – like me – is always talking about the endangered animals. But the number of plants and flowers disappearing is only growing. Like there's the hibiscus flower from Mauritius that's listed as "critically endangered."

I thought of it today when I realized I never got a single flower on this past Valentine's day. Not that I care, I got a flower from the married guy last year and one my coffee shop guy (he's worked there for years) the year before. Actually, he also gave me a flower last year. Not hitting on me (he's gay), just a really sweet gesture since I'm a good customer. I guess he forgot this year. Bummer. What a jerk, actually. He knows how happy I always was getting a silly little flower from him every year. Maybe I'll stop buying coffee there.

Whoa. Steady, Sonia. You sound bitter. LOL.
